Each school in Hockinson is organizing special activities to recognize veterans and express gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

At Hockinson Heights Elementary School, students will participate in two Veterans Day assemblies. The first assembly, for students in transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, second and fourth grades, will take place from 8:20 to 9:00 a.m. The second assembly, for first, third and fifth graders, will be held from 9:30 to 10:10 a.m.

Hockinson Middle School will host a morning Veterans Day assembly featuring a special slideshow of veterans, with photos contributed by families. The presentation will offer a meaningful way to recognize those who have served and highlight their connections to the school community.

At Hockinson High School, students will honor veterans through a school-wide announcement, patriotic posters, and outreach to veterans to share messages of appreciation.

Hockinson students will have the opportunity to reflect on the importance of service while celebrating the veterans who have made a lasting impact on our nation and community.

Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL on Veterans Day, November 11.
