You may notice that HSD classrooms, especially at the elementary school, look a little different in coming weeks. Our teachers do such a masterful job of creating warm and inviting classroom spaces for our students.  But due to updated fire codes, there will be a rollback in terms of classroom decor. New fire codes limit fabric on and around lights, the amount of paper on walls, and even items such as artificial plants. Teachers will have to remove or replace some items to comply with these requirements.

Despite the changes, our schools and teachers will ensure that HSD classrooms will still remain the caring spaces that we've come to know and appreciate.
