Tennis Afterschool Zone (TAZ) is designed for kids in K-5 and brings tennis directly to school gyms-no courts required! Using kid-friendly equipment and fun, game-based activities, our goal is to help develop tennis fundamentals while also building teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership skills.

Host Weekend Volunteers - CCYB

Hockinson is hosting 3 weekends for the Clark-Cowlitz County Youth Basketball League:
January 17th - 5th/6th grade
January 24th - 3rd/4th grade
February 7th - 2nd grade, 5th/6th grade

Please reach out if you are interested in Volunteering as a Referee or Gym Monitor for these host weekends!

Hockinson Youth Winter Recreational Basketball
with Clark-Cowlitz County League2025-2026

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED for the
2025-2026 season

Hockinson Youth Basketball through HSD Community Education is a recreational program that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and FUN! This league relies on Volunteer Coaches & Volunteer Officials. This league is for Hockinson students looking to learn the game of basketball with friends.

Practices: begin the week of December 1st at HHES.
Practice times are dependent on Volunteer coaches availability.
K-2nd practice 1 x per week
3rd-6th practice 2 x per week
No practice over HSD's Winter Break

Games: every Saturday for 6 weeks throughout the Clark-Cowlitz county schools beginning Jan 10th

SPACE IS LIMITED-do not delay!
Divisions will have capacity limits due to limited gym space for practices and games.

To cultivate a welcoming artistic space where individuals can learn, create, and connect through fine arts and crafts-fostering shared knowledge, inspiration, and lifelong creativity.

What to expect: arts & craft classes for student and adult learners, a space for you to rent and teach your own community classes/workshops, a gathering space for crafters. The creative opportunities are endless. 

Where: the original HSD Art Room (just west of the District Office)

When: on-going, classes will begin in March, look for an Open House early this spring.

Donations Welcomed! We are always looking for gently used or new supplies:

• Paper: color construction, card stocks, tracing paper, printer paper, watercolor paper, origami paper ( please no photo or clay coated papers)

• Colored pencils

• Markers

• Glue sticks and white glue

• Oil and Chalk Pastels

• Gelli Plates

• Printing Ink (water soluble)

• Paint (water based, no aerosols or oils, please)

• Paint brushes (student artist quality)

• Palette knives

• Yarn/string

• Scrapbook supplies

• Stamps
