Summer Learning Opportunities 

The Hockinson School District is excited to announce a number of opportunities for our students to keep learning this summer! We are still finalizing the details on our HSD-based programs, but you can count on additional details being sent out soon...

In the HSD:

  • Summer Reading Adventures

    • HHES & HMS Libraries open Wednesdays 9 am - 1 pm June 23 - July 28, 2021

    • Story time, book check out, activities, prizes!

    • We will be partnering with FVRL on a weekly reading tracker (Print reading logs will be available at HHES & HMS)

  • HHS Credit Recovery

  • Transition experiences for incoming 6th & 9th Grades

Visit the Portland Zoo. Families who qualify for FRL benefits can purchase up to 4 discounted tickets for $12 each. (The regular price is $24.) Advance registration required. 

Food Resources:

Farmer’s Market Tours: If you receive SNAP or PEBT you can earn $10 in free tokens to buy fruits and vegetables at local Farmer’s Markets. If you take a tour and you can have up to $40 matched. To sign up for the free tour go to
