At HHES's recent Multicultural STEAM Night families shared their cultural heritages with the community while enjoying performances, snacks, art and STEAM -- science, technology, engineering, arts and math -- activities from around the world!
Multiple generations worked together to launch air rockets, build gliders and towers, show off their coding skills, and engineer creative designs at STEM stations. Students also showcased their art pieces and performed music inspired by cultures from six continents. (Antarctica was featured as a water station, surrounded by research articles and science paraphernalia.)
Members of the Hockinson community joined together to perform folk songs from around the world as students sang, played instruments and moved to the music.
The Illumi Rainbow Dance Company put on two beautiful shows, and the community cheered as the performers fused science, technology, engineering, and math into a performing arts masterpiece.
Thank you to Hockinson School District, WEA-Riverside and Hockinson PWT for sponsoring this amazing experience!
