School Board Recognition Month concluded with a procession of gifts and tokens of appreciation at the January Regular Board Meeting.

----

The January 30 Regular School Board Meeting gave HSD students, staff, and families one last opportunity to recognize the service of our dedicated School Board members as part of School Board Recognition Month.

HHS mascot, Howie the Hawk, was in attendance to present Board members with gifts produced by HHS Career & Technical Education students, including cutting boards, pottery, and candles. The Board also received tokens of appreciation from HSD classified and certificated employee unions and HMS and HHES students. Following the meeting, Board members were treated to a special evening meal and desert, courtesy of Chartwells Food Service and an HSD parent who is obviously a very talented baker!

All of these special, once-a-year gestures communicate the same message: Thank you, School Board for leading the HSD and supporting students and staff all year, every year.
